History

Trimmings’n'Remnants was founded in 1979 by the Bishop Family. It’s original location was a small single shop front in Cumberland Road, Pascoe Vale.  In the early days products were sourced from local manufacturers overruns and, as word of mouth spread, the business blossomed; so much so that “Trimmings”, as it’s affectionately known, outgrew this little shop and had to move to it’s current, much larger premises in Cumberland Road.

In order to satisfy the demand for new, diverse and interesting items, Trimmings’n'Remnants began sourcing worldwide to add to the range of locally made products, thereby offering loyal customers a huge range from which to choose.

An excellent relationship with customers and suppliers has always been a hallmark of the company and it was via such a relationship that the Bishop family sold the business to the Quittner family in 2004.  The Quittner family had been a long time suplier of elastics, cords, tapes and braids to Trimmings’n'Remnants and they have continued and built upon the tradition of Trimmings’n'Remnants to offer as wide a product range as possible to its ever growing customer base.

Trimmings’n'Remnants second outlet is now open in Pakenham!
